Rolled Flowers

Hi All,

Sarah here with you today to share a layout featuring a rolled flowers technique that lovely Jo taught at GoGo Getaway in October.

GoGo Getaway March 2019 Sarah Packer Cedar Lane Pink Paislee_edited-1.jpg

I have used an older collection for this page, Cedar Lane by Pink Paislee! Yes, I have been hording it for that long! And, some ephemera from an old Simple Stories collection.

I started by choosing the lovely wood patterned paper as my background. I then chose a couple of the patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad and cut two different sized circles from each. I then cut them in the spirals and rolled from the outside in, securing with some wet glue to create the flowers. I set them aside to dry.

I mounted my photo on a piece of the leftover patterned papers I had used for the flowers and added foam pads and then mounted on a second piece of patterned paper and stuck to the background. I tucked a piece of ripped vellum under the bottom of my photo and a couple of ephemera pieces to the top and bottom of my photos.

Once the rolled flowers were dry I then glued them in place around my photo with some wet glue. I then embellished with some wood veneer leaves, a few more ephemera flowers, hearts and phrases and a sprinkling of enamel dots. I then added my title using some gorgeous navy Hip Kit exclusive alphas and a splash of Gold Heidi Swapp Colour Shine for some bling!

Hope you like the layout and want to try rolled flowers for yourself 🙂

Happy Scrapping!
