Cut Files with Texture | Kirei Baldwin

Hi GoGo fans! Kirei here with my layout that was inspired by Niki’s class from the last GoGo Dayaway in St. Albans which was focused on ‘Texture Techniques’. Niki used texture paste through a stencil onto a cut-file title to add texture.

So I decided to use this large background sunburst cut-file and then applied the lovely Shimmerz ‘Dazzlerz’ dimensional paste in ‘Coral Me Crazy’ with a palette knife directly to it making sure I left a rough textured surface. You can see the detail in the pic below…

I mounted a square photo with papers from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio  ‘Midnight’ collection. Then I added lots of matching embellishments along with some sequins and enamel dots from my stash. I then added a frame around the layout using a paper also from the ‘Midnight’ collection.

To finish off I added a title using two different Thickers from my stash.

Hope you are inspired to try using texture on a cut file or punched shapes, it really does add lovely dimension to a layout. Please share your layouts over on the GoGo Getaway Facebook page as the team all love to see what you create!

Thanks for looking and happy scrapping!
