Scrapping with Alchemy Sparks paint | Vicki Parker

Hi GoGo friends, it’s Vicki today with my February post. This month, my technique is scrapping with Alchemy Sparks paints. Have you seen them? They are GORGEOUS! Lorraine taught a class at the October 2018 Getaway that used the paints in three colours (gold, black and rose gold). I chose to use just one colour as I had some Pinkfresh embellishments that had rose gold in them and the paint called Butterfly Spells was a rose gold colour.

I started by using some of the paint to stamp onto my background. This worked really well, but make sure you clean your stamp after use because I could imagine it would not be in good condition later if you didn’t! You can see it in the image below, but I forgot to take a photo before embellishing.

The rest of the layout is pretty simple. I used some papers and cardstock in coordinating colours to the Pinkfresh embellishments I had in my stash. I tore them to add a strip down the left and placed the photo overlapping the papers and the stamping.

Finally, I painted some chipboard stars, hearts and butterflies that had been in my stash forever with the paint and stuck those on too – they are so sparkly as you can see in the images. I was really happy with how great the paint looked on the embellishments and can definitely see myself using it again. I finished with a Bramble Fox perspextive for my title along with a clear word sticker.

Bye for now – see you next month!
