Stencils

Hello Scrappers,

Sarah here with you today. Sharing a page I created using stencils and modelling paste. This technique was featured at a recent GoGo Dayaway event.

GoGo Getaway Feb Sarah Packer Crate Paper Paige Evans

I started by adding some bright pink texture paste to the background paper, as I wanted to break the black stripes up a bit. Once that was dry I used a Bramble Fox stencil which has both the triangles and plus signs on it. I used a lighter pink and gold on one side of where I was placing my photo and a teal texture paste and gold on the other side.

Once it was all dry I added the chipboard Frame which is from Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day collection and added my photo which I had mounted on three pieces of patterned paper from Crate Paper La La Love and Pinkfresh Studio Everyday Musings. I added foam pads to the back and stuck it over the frame.  I tucked some die cut flowers and leaves from Paige Evans Whimsical collection under the bottom left of my photo. I embellished with some enamel dots, shapes, a die cut phrase and a cute tassel bow.

I used some of the manufacture strips and layered them at the bottom of my page and added another die cut flower and leaf and the gold puffy title and heart.

I was really pleased with how this page came together, I don’t normally use patterned paper for my background!! Hope this has inspired you to have a go with stencils and texture paste, or you could try acrylic paint or spray ink! Have fun!

See you soon,

Love x
