Each Getaway has a collection of challenges set by the Design Team for the delegates to enter if they wish. For my blog post this month I’ve created layouts for a couple of the challenges on offer.
After the brush lettering class by Shimelle in June I decided to brave it and paint my own monogram using a brush pen. I’ll admit that this was my second attempt.
This layout has much more white space than I would normally use but I took my lead from Lorraine’s graphic. I love the colours in this Pinkfresh Studio collection, so bright and vibrant.
The second challenge I had a go at is Jo’s colour challenge. I love how this actually gives your free reign on the design but just gives you a nudge towards certain collections and colour ways.
When I saw this Paige Evans cut file I knew it would work perfectly on a layout documenting the afternoon tea that I went on in August with some of the GoGo Getaway team.
How cute is that panda from the Maggie Holmes ‘Willow Lane’ collection?! I had no idea how I would use her to start with but she just looked super cute peeking out from behind the cake stand and photo that I decided she could stay there.
Thanks for joining us on the blog today. Don’t forget to share your layouts with us on the Facebook group or tag us on Instagram.
