Hi GoGo Fans! At each GoGo Getaway we set lots of challenges to inspire our delegates. Each member of the Teaching Team sets a challenge and makes a sample layout. I wasn’t teaching at the October 2018 Getaway so I set the pre-retreat challenge instead.
My challenge was to be inspired by the number 22 as this Getaway was our 22nd retreat! This could be interpreted in many different ways but I chose to go literal and I therefore added 22 fussy cut stars, 22 gold stars and 22 sequins to this layout!
I also joined in with several of the challenges set by the other teachers. This Graphic challenge was set by Lorraine. I chose to interpret it as a sketch. I hand cut the number 1 to represent the Q, added my photo at the top, added flowers to the number and also at the bottom to represent the signature, and added typed journaling under the photo – what a great idea to set a challenge like this!
Louise’s challenge was to be inspired by lots of different elements. I used stars, acrylic shapes, an envelope, an oversized number (on my photo), an arrow, a stamped date and typed journaling.
Lisa’s moodboard was gorgeous…it was travel/holiday themed so I chose holiday photos. I also included a suitcase, used the colours, used planes and a geotag to represent the travel element, also a ticket and a luggage tag.
I absoutely adored the technique challenge set by Madie. Madie used a large heart and stamped around it to create her background. I did it the other way around and stamped inside my leaf shape. I then added stitching to give my leaf a border. This is such an effective technique!
Thanks for joining me today, I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my challenge layouts.
Happy scrapping xx
