Hello GoGo fan Niki here revisiting a technique taught by Kirei back at our GoGo Getaway in June 2018. Kirei used the Shimelle Box of Crayons collection to create very pretty tea-bag folded flowers. I’ve gone for smaller elements – fish! I had aquarium photos for my boy’s 5th birthday so fish seemed like a great option!
Each fish is made up of four squares of folded paper. It’s a bit like origami on a tiny scale and then the shapes are put together to form a larger shape. I varied the size of my squares in order to make slightly bigger or smaller fish.
I’ve used the Boys Rule collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio for this layout – I’ve absolutely loved using this collection, it’s been one of my favourites so far this year but unfortunately I’m out of full sheets! So I had to cut strips from the 6×8 pad and make a border that way lol I’ve added flat backed pearls as bubbles and lots of little bits and pieces to embellish the layout.
I loved making this layout and my little fishes are just sooooo cute! Thanks so much for joining me today – give tea-bag folding a try for something a little differet on your layout.
Happy scrapping xx
