Pleated Sunshine|Nancy Sinclair

Hi all, I am back today with a layout taking influence from Jo’s pleated paper elements class from the June getaway.  I did not want to have too much depth on my page, so I kept my pleated element to a single piece.

Septmeber GoGo

I used a die cut sun shape, which I attached strips of pleated paper too.  I attached longer strips and when the glue was dried and the strips were secure, I trimmed off the edges to show the die cut shape.

I used my preferred style of creating 3 distinct embellishment clusters and added an assortment of texture and elements to these.  The pleated element really helps to ground the bottom cluster, and title.

I have left a large space which will contain the journalling for this page.  I am unsure how much space this is going to take up, so I will write this out first to see if I need all of the space I left. I will then add some mist once my journalling is on the page to finish it all off.

I hope this layout may encourage you to add some texture to your pages using paper and die cut shapes.

Have a great start to October and I will see you in the month.
