Fontastic… By Lisa Griffin

Hello everyone, It’s Lisa here sharing my September blog post. Have you all recovered from the GoGo Cyber Crop, it was very busy. We had so much fun last weekend. If you are continuing to place your LO’s in the albums you have until 12 Midnight on Monday to allow for you to be entered into a draw.

My LO this month has taken inspiration from the June GoGo Getaway in which Shimelle came and joined in with the fun also delivering 2 amazing classes.

I was taught the basics of brush stroking by Shimelle, which appeared to be quite scary at first. However with time and practice I feel that it is developing.

2018-09As you will see above there is a mix of font on the LO both in style and texture, I have a plastic phrase alongside a title below which consists of both my Thickers and hand drawn script.

My hand script is completed with Indian Ink for which I used a paintbrush. I completed the word several times on my card choosing my preferred word. This is raised on the page with foam pads to help it stand out. It was the last one I completed and the smallest. Whilst completing my letter I “played around” building the letters allowing for depth of the ink. There are so many scripts available for inspiration to help in the process.

I placed my word on a background I had completed with ink on the card. I built up several areas of interest around my photos adding texture with different elements and a little sparkle of glitter.

A little sunny page completed from a seaside visit this Summer. I hope you have the chance to give script writing a go, its a great resource if you are running low on Alphas.

See you soon,
