GoGo JoJo Be Inspired Layouts

Jo Boland GoGo Getaway DT Hello SnowHey there! I’m here this month to share some of my layouts for the Be Inspired challenges at the June GoGo Getaway retreat. The first layout I’m sharing is for the challenge I set, which was ‘Glitter’. I decided to do a layout about the snow we had in March this year. I used really old glitter chipboard letters, white cardstock with a glittery sheen, glitter texture paste, glitter chipboard stars and glitter washi tape.

The effect is subtle even though I’ve used lots of glitter products, and is helped in part by sticking to four colours; white, blue, pink and black, all of which are featured in the main photo. How very convenient that Crate Paper’s collection ‘Snow & Cocoa’ had the perfect coordinating word stickers!

The layout above was for the pre-retreat challenge ‘Double Digits’ (GoGo Getaway was celebrating it’s 10th anniversary at this retreat). I made a layout about my eldest sons recent birthday and used big gold chipboard numbers for my title ’15’.

The gold chipboard numbers were from an old Ali Edwards December Daily kit and I popped them up on foam pads for even more impact.

I used a mixture of old Crate Paper collections; Confetti, Cute Girl and Party Day along with that fab Happy Birthday paper from Pebbles. The cake, flag and pin wheel are all from the 2013 Crate Paper collection Party Day. I love using up old stash!

This layout was for a Pre-retreat challenge set by our guest designer Shimelle called ‘Sidelined’, see the sketch below.Be Inspired Pre Event Challenge Sidelined

I rotated the sketch and kept the photos in the top half and the words in the bottom half (well, apart from one little label).

I used the zebras from the Maggie Holmes ‘Carousel’ collection for this layout of photos taken on the zebra crossing outside our hotel in Tenerife at different times of the day. Don’t worry, it was a quiet road, which was fortunate! I am thrilled with how this layout turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
