Hey there, Niki here today and I’m sharing the layouts I made for the Be Inspired Challenges that we set at the recent GoGo Getaway that took place in June 2018.
The challenge that I set was a moodboard:
I choose to make my sample layout using the More than Words Collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio as this went really well with my moodboard.
I absolutely love making layouts to challenges – I like to have a purpose when I’m scrapping and therefore everything I make is either for a DT assigmnent or for a challenge, this just motivates me! So I love the challenges set by GoGo Getaway for every event and I usually make a layout for every single challenge. I did that this time too but won’t share all of them as it would be too many!
Challenge number 5 was set by Nancy and her challenge was to Be Inspired by a shape and the shape she chose was a cupcake…when my daughter wore her cupcake dress and cupcake earrings and said to me ‘I’m all cupcakes today’ – that was me sorted for this challenge! I used the free cut file we gave away to the June Delegates and went for a very pink layout using valentines collections.
We also set a couple of pre-retreat challenges. As it was GoGo Getaway’s 10th birthday celebration event, one of those challenges was ‘double digits’. I was inspired by the word ‘double’ and also scrapped a birthday photo, although he was only turning 5 not 10 !
The other Pre-Retreat challenge was set by Shimelle, who was our fabulous Guest Designer at the retreat. Her challenge was to divide your page in two with a line of embellishments down the middle and have photos in one half of the page and words in the other half. I choose to divide my layout horizontally and have my photos at the top.
Thanks for joining me today and I hope you’ve enjoyed the layouts I shared.
Happy scrapping xx
