Hope you are all well and knee deep in pretty paper!
I am back on the blog to share my layout created using the paint blowing to create shapes class taught at the recent GoGo Getaway retreat in March by the fab Kirei. It’s such a fun technique!
As soon as I did the class I knew exactly which photo I was going to use and the type of background I was going to create! Its a photo of my Dad with some rockets he bought for fireworks night!
I decided to use a black background and I used some LuminArte paints which I have had in my stash for as long as I can remember. They are lovely vibrant metallic colours and they work perfect on the black! I watered them down a lot, so that the paint would spread easily.
I dabbed a little puddle of each colour on the card and then used a straw to spread the paint to create a “firework” effect! Once they were all dry I added some sequin stars to the centre of each firework. I mounted the photo on some paper by Vicki Boutin and added some stars, planets, words and a rocket from the fab Pink Paislee Wild Child collection which worked perfectly with the title! My very own Rocket Man!
Hope you like my layout and give the paint blowing technique a go, its so easy, yet so creative!
We’re now fast approaching the 10th Birthday celebrations GoGo Getaway and I for one can’t wait!!
Keep stopping by the blog for more inspiration from the fab Design Team 🙂
Happy Scrapping, til the next time!
