Paint Blowing Revisited

Hi everyone I hope you have all been enjoying the lovely weather we have been having recently and you have been taking lots of beautiful photos.

This month I am sharing a layout for my Eden Project album I have been working on for the last few months. It reminds me of the lovely summer trip we took last year.

I am revisiting the paint blowing technique from Teri’s class from the March retreat. I am not going all colours of the rainbow, but I love how the paint came down from the top of the page.

I took my watercolour and using a straw blew colour down from the top that matched the colour theme of my album.  I also created a watercoloured strip which I folded to add some texture to my page and to match it in with the watercolour.

I then built layers up around my mounted photos.  I have the theme of cameras and bugs ,that run through my album, mixed in with my layers.

I added some watercolour around my layers and flicked some on to the background.

I finished off with adding some dimensional hearts and small enamel dots and an Acrylic word from Bramble Fox.

I hope you will try out this technique to add some interest to your backgrounds.
