Hello there, it’s Jo here with my March design team project, a mini book! I took Madie’s ‘Daily Grind’ class last October at our Hertfordshire GoGo Getaway to make a stitched pocket mini book. This was mine…
I filled it with lots of everyday type photos from doing the washing up to taking the boys to school, photos of our house and photos of my family.
I changed the orientation and made some other adaptations to my new stitched pocket mini book. That is the absolute beauty of our technique based classes at GoGo Getaway, you can be given an idea and you can change or develop it to make a new project that’s different from the first.
I used the new travel collection by Crate Paper called ‘Here + There’ for my mini album about our half term trip to London. I had lots of photos that I wanted to include so I decided to print them like photo strips which could slot into the pockets. You’ll get the idea as you look through.
Let’s have a look inside!
I absolutely love how it turned out! I love that it’s interactive and contains SO much! I’ve managed to fit in 70 plus photos, 4 train tickets, 3 print outs of attractions we visited, 2 maps, 1 family attraction ticket and a shopping tag.
[Supplies – Crate Paper ‘Here + There’ collection – papers, printed vellum, ephemera, chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers, flair, washi tape and die cuts. American Craft Creative Devotion – Alpha & number stickers. Other – Yellow waxed twine.]
Mini books are brilliant for a holiday or trip like this where you have lots of photos and ephemera. What would you make yours about?
Thanks for stopping by. If you’re off to our March GoGo Getaway this weekend have a fabulous time!
