‘Love This’ Layout | Using Gelatos | by Kirei

Hi all! It’s Kirei here with my layout inspired by Esther’s fab class from the October GoGo Getaway using the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons. Now I don’t have any Art Crayons so pulled out my Faber Castell Gelatos instead! I actually watched a few YouTube videos to see what Art Crayon techniques I could use with the Gelatos and went with this one…. I took a 12″ x 12″ stencil and taped it over a sheet of 12″ x 12″ white cardstock. Then I picked four different colour Gelatos to go with the Pebbles ‘ Forever My Always’ collection and scribbled them directly onto the stencil to create an ombre effect. I then took some Claudine Hellmuth multi-medium gloss and using a small sponge rubbed it over the stencil from the lightest colour to the darkest to blend the Gelatos through the stencil.

After removing the stencil I set it with a heat gun.

And then I put together my layout… firstly mounting my photo with a couple of the patterned papers. Next I layered a couple of narrow strips to the top and bottom of the layout. Then I fussy cut some of the rose clusters, hearts and words and attached them around the photo and in the top left corner of the layout. I finished off with some enamel dots, wooden button, puffy hearts and an oversize title.
