Winter Fun | Using the Silhouette Cameo

Happy New Year! Although it is the end of January now as I’m the last of the DT to blog. I’m finishing off some of my wintery scrapbooking as I look forward to my annual January holiday to warmer climates. This layout is revisiting the use of the Silhouette Cameo for multiple uses on one page.

I used my Silhouette with the Paige Taylor Evans Tree Background cut file but mixed it up by only cutting out random trees, then cutting perforations to stitch through others. Finally using sketch pens for the remaining trees. I backed the cut out trees with patterned paper, stitched the perforated trees using grey thread and then painted the sketched trees with metallic paint.

I coloured some of the trees that were cut out with distress spray stains and used them to add embellishment. I layered them with tree puffy stickers from Pinkfresh studio. This layout shows how versatile that cutting machines can be.

The title ‘Winter Fun’ is a perspextive from Bramble Fox backed with patterned paper to make it sand out from the background. Finishing off I added in chipboard pieces and enamel dots followed by some coordinating mists.
