Marque Highlights….

Hello and a very Happy New Year…. Its Lisa here, so excited to be sharing with you my first blog post for 2018….

Do you have plans for 2018? Its going to be a very busy and exciting year for Go-Go celebrating 10 years…. I am so excited for the events ahead….

So, my first post this year is a “little play” on a concept -technique used in October 2017 at the Go-Go Getaway. Sparkly gems were added to letters to gain a marque effect.

I have used the same concept on my LO to draw attention to “our tiny little place in the world” on the map.. drawing attention on the LO.

After splashing gold on the page.. I placed my typed journalling on the page before I started to sew as I am a little worried how the sewing will “manage” whilst in the typewriter.

I stitched a border in gold thread. Wanting to add the Marque “look at me” around  Great Britain I firstly stitched a small circle. Drawing faint pencil lines I added the sparkly gems. I find that a strong wet glue is best to hold them, I use Tombo.

I then made up my photo mount mixing red and white and gold card. I secured my photo with foam pads building up the embellishment cluster to the right of the photo. The bakers twine was fixed with staples.

I fiished the LO with another small cluster to the left of the journalling. A few white gems and the glitter and white acrylic date finished the LO.

A fun way to capture Christmas Eve and a great way to draw intereast to an area of the page too.

I hope that 2018 is kind to you and that you have a great year allowing for you to grab some time to scrap too… if you get a chance please share on the GoGo Facebook page as we love to see what you do.

See you soon,
