For the love of cut files!

This weekend is our October Getaway and I’m super excited to see all the amazing layouts the delegates create and the classes the Design Team are teaching.

This month I’ve revisited the technique where we used mediums to decorate a cut file. I used a Hip Kit Club cut file to create this background of ice creams. I enlarged, copied, flipped and welded the strip of ice cream cones. I was able to create this background file after attending a Silhouette tutorial by Niki Rowland at the Getaway in March.

I used 3 different coloured spray mists to colour the cut file. I put the cut file in a pizza box and then sprayed the cardstock from approx. 25cm away to create a fine mist covering. I am desperately trying to use up my Cocoa Vanilla Studio ‘Hello Sunshine’ collection.

Thanks for stopping by to see my layout this month. It would be great to see your interpretation of this technique. Show us your layouts over on the GoGo Getaway Facebook group or tag us on Instagram.

Happy Crafting!
