Hello, Jo here with my October DT project and this month I’m sharing a cute little mini album inspired by a class designed by Nancy at a recent GoGo Dayaway event. Nancy’s album had a shaker element on the front cover, photo frames inside the album on pages covered in Shimmerz and beautiful binding down the spine to hold it all together.
I have lots of photo frames in my stash so this was the perfect opportunity for a rummage and to use up ‘some’ of them! I chose six square frames and two portrait ones which were the same height. I decided to back each frame with patterned paper rather than making individual pages to adhere them on to. They are all held together on a book ring with the holes being punched through with my WRMK Crop-a-dile which can totally deal with the thickness of the frames.
The front cover has two frames sandwiched together with a piece of acetate behind the first frame patterned paper behind the second frame. Little beads and sequins have been placed inside to make a shaker cover, a mini version of Nancy’s front cover.
Behind each internal frame is a favourite photo from 2017 which is backed with a piece of patterned paper cut to the same size as the frame. Little word stickers, label stickers and cut out tags decorate the album and details such as place name and dates were then added last.
[Details – Photo frames – Crate Paper, patterned paper, cut out tags, resin flower – Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper (first collection), word and label stickers – Maggie Holmes ‘Chasing Dreams’ collection, beads & sequins – Stampin’ Up, book ring – American Crafts, acetate – Studio Calico, little heart rub-ons – Maggie Holmes ‘Gather’ collection]
DT member Terri also created her own version inspired by Nancy’s, which you can see here.
Thanks for stopping by, now go create your those photo frames in your stash!
