Hi Everyone I hope you are having a crafty October and enjoying autumnal treats. This month I am here to share with you a take on one of Niki’s pages from her Dayaway earlier this year.
She took a large shape and filled it with a variety of die-cut, she had an ampersand on hers but I decided to go with a geotag, as it was going in my travel album.
I had an older 6×6 paperpad from WRMK which was a travel collection. Their was a couple of papers that had small tags and luggage on. A couple of the scaled down papers were also cut a parts so we great to fussy cut. I did a lot of fussy cutting and had it all sitting ready to make this page.
I took my Cameo and Cut out a template for the geotag, I wanted this to fill most of my page. I also used some of my digital stamps from Ali Edwards to cut my title from black cardstock.
I then set about sticking and layering, and filling the shape. I also fussy cut a large USA map which I wanted to use as an additional embellishment, I mounted this on 3D foam to give it a little bit of height.
My shaped did get a little bit lost in all the sticking, so I drew around the shape a couple of times to make it standout, I could have also used a sewing machine to define the shape.
I kept the rest of the page simple and left space for my journalling about the road trips we took.
I really enjoyed making this page and revisiting this older collection. I hope you all have a creative month and I will be back next month with some more inspiration for you.
