Mini book madness!

This month I have revisited a technique that the wonderful Nancy did at one of the GoGo Dayaway events. It was to create a mini book completely from scratch and use Shimmerz products to decorate. I have chosen to re-create the mini book but didn’t use mixed media to decorate.

I’m desperately trying to use up some of my older stash (so I have an excuse to buy more!) so I chose to use the Cocoa Vanilla Studio ‘Colour me Happy’ collection patterned paper along with a variety of different embellishments. The front has a shaker chipboard frame similar to the original from Nancy.

The mini book had this cute stitched spine to which I added a couple of Paige Evans heart embellishments. The thread I used had a kind of ombre effect so was different shades throughout the book.

I followed Nancy’s instructions to create the book but then decorated it using my own style. I haven’t created a mini book for a while and really enjoyed this one. Such a great way to document an event or trip away.

Happy Crafting!
