Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather this Bank Holiday weekend!
I have a layout for you today which is a take on a technique taught at one of the GoGoDayaway events. Lorraine taught a class “Beautiful Bows” which used a cut file which was decorated with mediums
So I set about creating something similar. I decided to go for a Christmas theme and found a lovely wreath cut file in the Silhouette store. Once it was cut I painted it using pearlescent water colour paints for the leafy part and red Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink for the berries. I then flicked water on the berries to give them the oxidized look.
Once the paint was dry I added some gold modelling past to some of the leaves and glitter to others. I then dotted it with some gold Nuvo Drops.
Once it was all dry I popped it up on some foam pads and stuck it on the background paper. I actually used a patterned background for once!!
I layered the photo on two other patterned papers and stuck it on to the page in the bottom right corner. I embellished the photo with various ephemera pieces, wood veneer and a cute spotty bow. I also added an embellishment cluster in the top left, a strip of glittery washi, flair and tiny word stickers.
The title was an obvious one for the photo and for this I used my fave glitter Thickers! A sprinkling of sequins all over and…. voila! All done!
So, go grab those paints, inks, modelling paste and have a go 🙂
Thanks for reading and Happy Scrapping!!
