Supersized Wood Veneer Fun

Hi everyone it’s a Nancy here with you to share an other layout using the fab classes from the March GoGo Getaway as inspiration. This time I am using the fab Blocked Out class from Niki as influence.

3 GoGo Getaway Blocked Out by Niki Rowland

I really love this double page spread and since my first GoGo getaway experience I have created several double pages, which is different for me.

I have however decided to go with a single page as I took my main inspiration from the wood veneers that she used.  I have had a 12×12 large scale wood veneer in my stash for over a year, and this was the push that I needed to get it used on a page.

I took influence from Niki page and used a medium to paint half of this large veneers I used a texture paste and then added a line of glitter. I used the masking technique that Niki demonstrated in her class.

I mounted this veneers on a piece of white card stock and used my circular punches to cut my photos and the card stock to fit within the circular spaces.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out my title and a frame elements to embellish this layout.

I added some pops of yellow to the page using enamel dots and brads and flair.

I am really happy with how this page came out and I that I have been able to use this fab wood veneers from my stash. I am going to try out the painting of the smaller wood veneers as Niki used on another page.  You can see my process of making this layouts over on my YouTube channel

I hope my page and all the other wonderful pieces on the blog help to inspire you to get crafting this month. Remember their is still time to take part in the monthly challenge.

Thanks.
