Hello again everyone, Giselle here with another layout inspired by a GoGo class. This time it’s Nancy’s beautiful micro clusters class that she taught at the GoGo Getaway last March.
I really like the idea of highlighting areas of a layout in this way and I chose a few places on my design where I thought the embellishment clusters would work well. As the design is basically horizontal, I used the top right and lower left to add most of my embellishments to maintain some balance.
I chose some very small beads that were a similar colour to the papers I used and which wouldn’t overpower the other elements on the page. I added some die cuts, puffy stickers, phrase stickers, a flair, plus a couple of enamel dots – these are my current ‘go to’ favourites!
I also added some micro beads to the scalloped edge of the central card by running a line of Glossy Accents along the edge, pouring the beads over and letting it set.
I used a pokey tool to nudge into place any beads that strayed too far away. Now, this was a bit tricky but well worth the effort, despite my desk being covered in thousands of beads after I’d finished!
If you try this technique don’t forget to share it on the GoGo Getaway Facebook page.
See you again next month, happy scrapping!
