Hi, Terri here. Sadly, it looks like summer has disappeared in my part of the UK but the bright side is that I should get more chance to get in my craft room now its not too hot.
I’m here this month with my revisit of Niki’s colour blocking technique from March’s getaway. She used various mediums on wood veneer to create a colour block effect. I have used the technique but done it on a smaller scale by using only three pieces on my layout.
This is quite a simple layout for me but I wanted to make sure the butterfly wood veneer stood out so didn’t make it too busy. I fussy cut some of the flowers from a Shimelle ‘Little by little’ paper to use as part of my 3 embellishment clusters. I used Heidi Swapp metallic blue texture paste to cover half of my butterflies. It creates a great stippled texture.
Another inclusion on this page is an exclusive GoGo Getaway flair badge that we received as pillow gifts at the weekend. I added it on top of the large flower, pride of place!
Thanks for joining me on the blog this month and don’t forget to head over to our facebook group as there is still time to enter June’s challenge.
