Happy Sunday to you all,
Hope you are managing to get some scrappy time today and are taking part in the GoGo Getaway challenges!
It’s Sarah back with you today to share my take on Lorraine’s Inked In Love class from March’s GoGo Getaway. I loved this class and couldn’t wait to have a go myself!
So I started by finding a font cut file and instead of cutting it, I used a pen to sketch the outline. Once that was done I filled the words in using a paint brush and black Indian ink and added a few ink splatters around the title.
Whilst waiting for the ink to dry I layered my photo up on to papers from Shimelle’s Little By Little collection and Crate Paper Cute Girl. I added the photo on foam pads to the page just below the title and then embellished it with a die cut from the Cute Girl collection and a cute bunny and camera.
I stuck a branding strip at the bottom right of the page and the leaping bunny from the Dear Lizzy Lovely Day collection as I felt the bottom of the page was too bare!
I added embellishments around the title, again from the collections mentioned above and some wood veneer from my stash. It needed some bling, so a sprinkling of sequins and some glittery enamel dots later and the page was complete!
Hope this inspires you to have a go. You could try it with a different coloured ink or several colours 🙂 Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Don’t forget to hop on over to the GoGo Getaway Facebook Page for more inspiration and to take part in the monthly challenge!
