Hi! Niki here with you today sharing my take on Giselle’s Coptic Book Binding class from March 2017 GoGo Getaway. Coptic Book Binding is so popular at the moment and makes for such pretty books. I couldn’t wait to get started on my own one.
This was Giselle’s mini book from March which she made with a 6×6 paper pad and lots of white card.
For Giselle’s mini book, we used chipboard for the front and back covers which we covered with patterned paper. For my own book I had two wooden book covers at 5×7″ and I drilled holes in them to turn them into perfect Coptic book covers.
I went through and pulled out lots of pieces of patterned paper that were from older collections and cut them down to size. I then cut lots of sheets of white card to the same size. Once I had all my ‘signatures’ cut I put them altogether and then started binding my book. I used embroidery thread for this
I’ve put together a process video for you to watch on how the book came together – enjoy.
Happy scrapping, Niki xx
