Revisiting Marblelicious

Hi all I hope you are all having a creative month, and have found some time to get some crafting done.

This month I am revisiting a technique from the March 2017 GoGo Getaway and putting my spin on it.  The class I will be revisiting it is Lisa’s Marblelicious class.  I took this class at the event and really enjoyed revisiting the marble technique I had done at school many years ago.

I decided to take influence from the first of the layouts that I created from the class.  I really enjoyed the stitching element on this page an how it adds some depth to the page.

I emulated that on this page by cutting my title out from the background paper and stitching around this with a border as Lisa demonstrated in the class.  Lisa’s class used plain white cardstock for the background but this is something I struggle with so I used papers from the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection.

I did use a piece of marble effect paper to back the cut-out title from to add the element of marble on to the design.

I then used a selection of different elements to layer underneath my photo to create some texture.  This photos was a random snap I took whilst out at lunch and I just love how it looks so decide to go with a more feminine and pretty embellishments , I even got a glittery pineapple on their!

If you are interested I have created a process video on my YouTube channel on how I create this page, so please feel free to drop over and have a look.

I hope you are inspired by my take on Lisa’s page, and that it can inspire you to reach in your stash and create some beautiful pages.
