It’s Sarah back with you again! This time to share my interpretation of Kirei’s “Title Page” Class that she taught in March.
The concept was to add a shaker title to the page. I really loved this class!
So, here’s mine!
To start with I found a suitable cut file that I could use for the title. I then added the stencil element with some Heidi Swapp modelling paste. I set it aside to dry.
I added a layer of foam pads to the back of the two D’s, drew round them onto the patterned paper and adhered the back. For the other two letters I drew around them on to some acetate and more of the patterned paper and cut it to size. Using some wet glue I stuck the acetate to the letters and left to dry.
Once the glue was dry on the letters I added a layer of foam pads and then sprinkled some round beads, bugle beads and sequins in to the space and stuck the patterned paper to the back to stop them falling out!! You may need to add two layers of foam pads if your beads are bigger, to allow them to move around.
Once that was done I added the patterned paper tiles to the background and stuck my title down. Added the photo and the frame and then embellished with chipboard, enamel shapes, ephemera etc.
I used the patterned paper, ephemera, wood veneer and chipboard from the new Cocoa Vanilla Studios You Rock collection and a few Freckled Fawn embellies!
Hope you like it and it inspires you to have a go!
