Hello, it’s Jo here with my take on a fabulous class taught by Giselle at the March GoGo Getaway on how to make a Coptic Bound mini-book. I wasn’t able to attend Giselle’s class as I arrived late in the day to host the Scrapping After Hours session, but I jumped at the chance to make my own book.
This is Giselle’s gorgeous coptic bound mini.
And here is mine.
Inspired by Giselle and by Paige Evans (whose coptic books are amazing) I made mine with wood covers and signatures containing one piece each of patterned paper, cardstock, vellum and copier paper. I added charms to the binding and decorated the inside with stickers, washi tape and stamps.
Here’s a look at the first signature.
This is how two of the signatures look next to each other, plus a couple of others with the vellum papers and the end of the album.
I bound eight signatures together which was enough inner pages to hold approximately 70 photos, which is quite impressive!
And here’s the pretty coptic bound spine adorned with cute charms.
