Hi, Terri here to show you my interpretations of some amazing Be Inspired… challenges set by the Design Team Class teachers from GoGo Getaway in March. I managed to complete 5 challenges and loved the way each one challenged and inspired me in different ways.
This was my challenge that I created for the Getaway. I loved creating the challenge and it was great to see the fantastic layouts that all the ladies created using my elements recipe. We all had a good laugh at the title one of the DT girls suggested at our weekend get together.
I didn’t think I had any stash that would fit in with this colour theme by Lisa but then I received the new Paige Evan’s Oh My Heart collection and it was almost a perfect match. Slightly different shades but worked perfectly.
I love a sketch. Often I will flip it or change it as I’m creating but this time I pretty much stuck to Kirei’s sketch. I added a few more layers behind my photo. The bright colours in the Fancy Pant’s Family & Co. collection are great for documenting home life.
Sarah’s sketch like Kirei’s had quite a lot of white space to it so I created a texture paste background using a stencil and some leftover pink paste I created for another layout. My cute little pussy cats often feature in my scrapbook pages.
Niki’s elements challenge was one of the hardest ones for me as I rarely use yellow. It was great to try something out of my comfort zone. I love some fussy cutting and how the raindrops look popped up on some foam dots.
I’m so excited for the October and November GoGo Getaways but in the mean time I’m happy playing along with the monthly Be Inspired… challenges that are set on the first of each month over on the GoGo Getaway Facebook page. There are some amazing prizes to be won.
