Hey there, Niki with you today sharing my layouts made for the GoGo Getaway March 2017 Be Inspired challenges. At GoGo Getaway, each member of the design team sets fun challenges for delegates to take part in over the course of the weekend – these are to spark your inspiration and we absolutely love to see all those wonderful creations on the crop room wall, it really is a spectacular sight.
There were eight challenges consisting of two sketches, two moodboards, two elements challenges and two colour swatches. Of course I did all of them, nothing like a challenge hey?!
Now this colour challenge had me out of my comfort zone as it wasn’t the colours I usually use so I pulled out a fairly recent Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills paper for my background plus some very old stash.
This colour theme was much more me, and I used up some Paige Evans Take Me Away for this layout.
I simply adored Lorraine’s moodboard and picked up on the colours, butterflies, flowers, feathers (there’s a bird on my layout!), circles and strips of blue.
Pink – total heaven for me! I picked up on the colours, hearts, the black and white stripes and the pop of gold glitter.
I loved this sketch by Kirei and I used Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams for this layout.
For Sarah’s sketch I got my sewing machine out to create the circle and all the stash is Love & Adore by Simple Stories.
For my own challenge I fussy cut loads of frames from an older Maggie Holmes collection and teamed these up with Crate Paper Cool Kid.
and finally for Terri’s elements challenge I used more Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams and did a whole lot more fussy cutting!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my layouts and taking part in the challenges at GoGo Getaway if you were there. Please do share them on our Facebook group and don’t forget we set a Be Inspired Challenge for you to take part in every month too.
Happy scrapping xx
