So March Inspiration!

Happy Easter Go-Go’s! Hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather and time with your loved one.  Madie here to share my layouts from the March GoGo-Getaway.  This was my first March retreat, I’ve not been able to attend one before, it was really good to meet some new faces and as always I am floored by the creativity and like to look at the layouts as they grow over the weekend, I always learn something new and my head is normally spinning. I always have such a lovely time when I go and feel a bit blue when it’s time to go home!

blog post 5.2

I wasn’t able to complete all the challenges but I am sharing two that I completed at the retreat and two that were completed at home as I didn’t have the papers with me at the time.

Nancy's Moodboard

blog post 5.4

My first layout is Nancy’s mood board, I’ve gone for a more muted tone of the colours.  I was really inspired by a layout on Pinterest that was made with triangles and I used that idea to make this layout.  But goodness me, cutting out triangle easy yes? No, that took a bit of math and I got a bit flustered – scrapping is meant to be relaxing! I’m really happy with the turn out and will try this agian.  I made the tassel and the happy die cut came from one of the GoGo kits many moons ago!

Lisa's Colour

blog post 5

Love, love, love this new release from Simple Stories Emoji Love and it was perfect for my family face mat shenanigans!  This was a really nice and quick layout to do and I really liked the colour combination that Lisa put together for this challenge.

Kirei's Sketch

blog post 5.3

This layout was made using the Simple Stories Domestic Bliss release.  I started this at the retreat and then completed at home.  I made the tassel and glittered the heart that came in the ephemera pack and finished off with a doily and sequins. I’ve also glittered some of the houses with a glitter pen – Wink of Stellar, you can’t really see it in the picture though.  I’ve also written a bit of journaling about my experience of buying my first property.

Giselle's colour

blog post 5.1

Well this was a challenge.  My first instinct with the colours on Giselle’s mood board was to do a masculine layout.  My sister posted this picture of our Mum on Facebook for Mother’s day she’s only 18 in the picture and bing! I knew I wanted to scrap the picture she looks so happy and completely carefree, shame that changed when she had me two years later!!

This paper pack is ancient – it’s called Wild Saffron made by K&Company.  The flowers I fussy cut from a sheet in the collection, I seem to be fussy cutting more these days and really enjoyed putting this layout together.  The layered butterflies and flowers come from the line embellishment pack. I used some white paint to make the circles to anchor everything down and then did some splats.

Well that’s quite a long blog post, thank you for taking the time to read it.  Please leave us a comment and I will see you next month.
