One of the classes at the GoGo Getaway in October 2016 was called ‘Sheer Fun’ and the concept behind the class was to make our own speciality paper. Lisa taught the class and created flocked vellum. I love all the shiny stuff that’s still so popular at the moment so I went for acetate and glitter to create my speciality paper.
I began by drawing the big divided heart, the old fashioned way using a pencil and a ruler, onto a piece of paper. I laid a sheet of acetate over this and then traced the lines using a fine tip glue. I then sprinkled glitter all over the heart and once dry, I cut out the shape. I then stuck this onto a piece of patterned paper.
I also took a pre-cut frame from an ephemera pack and added pink glitter to the frame for some added bling.
Embracing the speciality paper theme fully (of course), I dug out a sheet of foiled acetate from my stash and cut that up to use as a layer on my layout. I also used foiled ephemera. So lots of shimmer and shine there, very me lol
I plan to have another go at making my own speciality paper by using foil and the Minc machine next. Happy scrapping xx
