Hi everyone, Giselle here again with my take on Lorraine’s beautiful Dreamcatcher class from the last Getaway in October 2016. Since doing the class, I’ve seen lots of Dreamcatcher layouts on social media and scrapbooking websites – it seems as though Lorraine has started a new trend in scrapbooking!
For my layout I used 2 pieces of plain cardstock, on a soft patterned background, extending them below the photo to form a ‘base’ for my Dreamcatcher. I cut the Dreamcatcher shape, using my Silhouette, from neutral card and added lots of large die cut feathers in colours to match the brightly coloured patterned paper used on the layout. A couple more feathers placed on the left creates balance in the design. A few gems, enamel dots and a cute little bee to decorate the dreamcatcher finished it off nicely!
I added a touch of sparkle using Wink of Stella to one side of the feathers. Here’s close up showing the sparkly bits a little better!
If you make a dreamcatcher layout of your own we’d love to see it on the GoGo Getaway Facebook page. Thanks for visiting the GoGo Getaway blog and I’ll see you again next month.
