Hi Everyone! Kirei back again with another take on Lorraine’s lovely Dreamcatcher class from GoGo Getaway last October.
I happened to have just the thing that I had downloaded from the Silhouette Store so diecut that out….. for those interested it is called ‘dream catcher monogram frame’.
And then I was stumped as to what I was going to do with it! So did some browsing on Pinterest for inspiration… and found lots of lovely dreamcatchers to get my mojo going!
Now that I was feeling inspired I remembered I had some rather bright blue feathers leftover from a work dress up sports day last year that I could attach to the diecut dreamcatcher. Then I backed the cutout pieces round the circle with patterned paper using foam pads to add dimension. I used two different coloured spray mists on the feathers and inner circle of the dreamcatcher.
Added that to my layout along with a cute pic of my newest nephew and some embellishments and a title.
Note to self …… make sure you are happy with everything before sticking down. After thinking I was done I decided the dreamcatcher needed something else so then wound red twine through the circle…and that is a little fiddly when it is attached to the layout!
So…. why don’t you try creating your own dreamcatcher on a layout and share it with us on the GoGo Getaway Facebook page….
Until next month…happy scrapping!
