Striking Layered Stamps

Hello everyone and welcome to my first bog post as part of the GoGo Getaway Design Team. I am excited to share my first layout with you using techniques from the October 2016 Getaway.

I have taken inspiration from Esther’s Page using the layers stamp technique, I love this page and the travel themed stamp, travel is something I scrap a lot, so think I may be needing to add that stamp to my collection. When I mention a collection of stamps, I do have a fair few image stamps from my cardmaking stash that don’t often make it on to a page, so decide this layout would be the perfect excuse.

Esther used a single stamp, stamped multiple time, which she then then painted and layered up. With my chosen stamp I decided to reach in to my collection of far to much 6×6 paper pads and stamp the image on these to do some paper piecing with my stamp.

I was also inspired by Esther to reach for the watercolours and to paint the face in on my crafty angel stamp.

I added some misting and some glimmer, using a Wink of Stella pen, to the paper pieces and cut out the parts and layered these on. I could have used some 3D foam behind some of my layers, but my 2nd 2016 album is getting a bit chunky so I am trying to cut down the bulk.

I then finished off my page using a mixture of new and old stash, and create a simple couple of layers to accompany my column of photos. Rather than add a title to this page I used a 3×4 card, which I have many of, that I layer behind my stamped image.

I really enjoyed taking inspiration from Esther’s page and I hope that you will find some inspiration from mine.

I look forward to seeing you next month on the blog again.
